In this lesson, instructor Ben Fenske spends a second session completing his interior painting. You will learn how he establishes the relationship between light inside the room and light outside the window. He will show you how to further achieve value contrast and add finishing touches to your painting.
This lesson belongs to the course Painting Interiors in Oil. In this 5-week course, you will follow Ben Fenske through his process of painting interiors. He will first introduce you to the key concepts of interior painting. Then, you will watch multiple demonstrations, where he shows you his use of suggestive brushstrokes, delightful colors, and step-by-step approach to painting indoors with natural light. After this course, you will gain a greater understanding of light and color relationships, as well as being able to achieve atmospheric perspective in your paintings.
Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
You do not need to purchase specific materials to take this course.
