In this lesson, instructor Charles Hu will teach you how to paint a figure with an extended palette. You will discover how to utilize colors in your artwork that improves the dynamic range beyond the Zorn palette. Charles will work on a reclining figure painting with various props included in the setup. You will practice using the real estate of the canvas to create an intriguing composition.
This lesson belongs to the course Oil Painting for Beginners II. In this 7-week course, Charles Hu will further your knowledge of oil painting. He will walk you through different figure painting scenarios. You will learn how to develop paintings through multiple sessions, expand your palette, and create multi-figure compositions. With each assignment, you will develop the knowledge that will improve your figure painting toolbox.
