In week ten, Patrick deepens your understanding of figure drawing through a series of studies focusing on heroic anatomy and dynamic poses. Using the “Perseus” and “The Gorgon’s Dance” studies, he demonstrates techniques for foreshortening and rhythm, emphasizing the importance of emotional engagement with your subject. You’ll learn how to work with light and shadow, adjust perspective through horizon lines, and balance focus in your drawings. By the end of this lesson, you’ll be able to capture powerful poses and infuse the heroic elements of fantasy art into your figure work.
Throughout this course, you’ll have access to the NMA community for feedback and critiques to improve your work as you progress.
