In this lesson, you will learn how to render the human head. Instructor Fei Meng will start where she left off in the last session, working on the mouth and into planes of the head. You will follow along with her stroke for stroke as she builds up the face in colored pencil.

This lesson belongs to the course Colored Pencil Portraiture. In this 10-week course, Fei Meng will walk you through the fundamentals needed to make captivating portrait drawings with colored pencils. You will learn how to create color palettes, execute delicate blending techniques, and develop a fully realized portrait from start to finish. Fei will demonstrate how to construct individual features of the face, like the eye, nose, mouth, and ear. After this course, you will have a concrete understanding of how to render with colored pencils to create your very own portrait drawings.
