In this lesson, instructor Glenn Vilppu will teach you how to draw the largest mass of a human body; the torso. You will learn that the torso acts as the dynamic core, from which the head, neck, and limbs all originate. This complex anatomical structure can bend, tilt, twist, and translate. Glenn will show you how the major bony structures and the soft tissues combine to create the torso.
This lesson belongs to the course Intermediate Anatomy Drawing. In this 5-week course, living master draftsman Glenn Vilppu will walk you through the lessons on human anatomy and show you how to draw each body part with confidence. You will learn an approach to drawing the figure that emphasizes the anatomical forms to describe each pull, twist, and turn accurately. Not only does this course give you a better understanding of the human body, but it prepares you for more in-depth anatomical study in the future. You will gain knowledge of anatomy based on gesture, form, and the dynamics of the living figure.
