Michael Mattesi is an artist, educator, and author working in California. He is also the developer and creator of the FORCE drawing method.

Mattesi went to school at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has taken on many roles in the entertainment industry, including comic books, illustration, concept design, and game design. He has taught at numerous schools and studios like Nickelodeon, Electronic Arts, and Art Center College of Design. Moreover, Mike started his own online art school DrawingFORCE.com. Mattesi has written five books on the FORCE drawing method and its different applications.
