How to paint hair week 2. Twas a challenge, but I made it! A lot of fun (and frustration) too! 🙂 Looking forward to week 3, for sure!

Incredible as always Lewis! I love the portrait you put up on day 80! Such incredible control of values, you should be proud even if you think you messed some parts up, as you say. I don’t see nothing but a beautiful piece of work. Can’t wait to see what you do with this next one, which is already looking great. Thanks for leaving the measuring lines in, it helps to make a mental note in my brain, to do these things! 🙂

Twas a crazy week last week. Barely any time to draw, but I managed to finish these up.

    Thanks guys!

Legs drawn and names from memory. Then looked at previous studies and made the corrections/added the missing name of Plantaris on top with red. Pretty satisfied with the information I retained so far.

Dang Lewis! You’re really going at it in here! Really cool to see this thread and all the work you produce. I don’t know how you do it but it’s inspiring. Keep up the good work man.

Oh my, what beautiful lines! I mean this last leg is just sexy. I was  thinking that you must be an animator, since the look of your line work is a lot like those of the animators. Then I read your first post. 🙂 But I’m still wondering, are you an animator?
Keep going these are absolutely gorgeous! 🙂

    Heya,
@ Susan: Thanks! Yes I’ve been putting this off for like 15 years so, don’t feel bad, haha. It’s a very difficult task and like I said legs for me were always the most challenging. But you just gotta jump in if you want to get to work. 🙂
@ Lewis: Thanks man, I appreciate your enthusiasm. It really helps me to stay on track and keep on pushing forward.

    Thanks Michael,
I appreciate you stopping by and your kind words.  Yes anatomy is super extra hard. So many things to learn and yet the beauty is in it’s complexity. One can really appreciate how magnificent a human body is.

The most tedious thing for me is not really anatomy but my impatience. By joining NMA I’m learning how much I need to chill and just do the work. I keep reminding myself that it’s OK if it takes time and if I see mistakes in my drawings after I do them. It’s hard but I’m sure I can get there.

Ilya’s assignment (and a bit more) for bones of the leg. Drawn from the 3d model.

Now that I think of it. The same feature could be applied for video player as well.
