If I may, I will give you a couple of pointers. Unfortunately I can’t do this in Photoshop, but I hope that some one else can show. I notice issues with alignments. For example, the line that represents the bottom of the lower lip, is sloping downwards, while the line of the bottom of the chin is going upwards. If the general direction of your lines is upwards, the features of the front of the face will track in the upwards direction. These lines eventually converge in perspective, but you just want to keep that mind. I’m sorry if you knew this already. Specifically for this sort of drawing don’t jump into rendering until you are sure of your lines.
I hope that I didn’t discourage you. I know that you spent you lot of time on this, but these type of exercises are meant to be a pain. I drew my first planes a couple of months ago, and I was sweating like hell, figuratively speaking, and there were a ton of corrections to do. Please keep going!
Hello Beth
You started the challenge ))
Yes Joshua. I am learning about distortion. I think that I start to notice it in pictures now. I probably chose the wrong angle and made mistakes of my own on top of that. The 3D models super helpful and beautiful.
Day 16 WIP but I hope to finish this scull tonight after my evening jog. I honestly didn’t think it would take so long.
Awesome! I am exited to see the final result. Are you going to keep this composition ? If the soap bubble will be the main focal point, I feel like it may be a little too close to the border of the picture on top. I say this, but I don’t know anything about composition actually.
Superb!

It’s impressive indeed. Great work Erik!
Thank you Erik ))

Dear Beth,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am so happy to hear that I have given you the motivation to start this challenge. I could not have imagined motivating someone to start a drawing challenge. Your words motivate me to keep going. What I want to say is that drawing is challenging, but you have to do it everyday, even when the result make you want to trash the paper. It’s the only way to grow. I put off drawing for two years. I could have started this challenge much, much earlier.
Please start and keep going!
