I work in Information Technology at a small university in north-central Pennsylvania. I am not enjoying the work anymore and after a trip to Florence in Jan 2020 I rediscovered my love of art. When we returned home I decided to try and draw some things I saw. I loved the big umbrella trees and decided I wanted to draw one. That was all it took. I then tried colored pencils and I really loved the details you can achieve with them but I did not like the process as it is very slow. I then bought a cheap set of pastels and tried them. I liked the speed but I bought terrible pastels and was limited again. I then acrylic paint and that is so far my favorite medium. It is fast and vibrant. I also dabble in watercolor also.
