I think, if your interested in figure painting, you should get to grips with hos to draw the basic figure. Sheldon borensteins course is nice and short, and is perfect to get to grips with it, and is a great base for the more complicated classes, like Steve and Glenn. So do that first…because draftsmanship should come before painting, generally. I think your jumping ahead of yourself with the painting!

For figure draftsmenship it should go: sheldon, Steve constructive figure drawing…around half that course, then glenn gesture figure, then anatomy

The website is designed so that you kinda use a lot of the courses. But be smart about it 😉

Wow!!! Did you do all this without the mentorship?? If so 👏👏👏

Fabulous gesture! And great work ethic! It’s obvious you’ve put sweat into this, and it has PAID!

    Amazing!!!!

Nice colors, but you definitely need to get feedback. Proportions and line quality need assessment.

Looks really good, especially the last two in charcoal, I think that’s a good medium for you.

I love the gesture here and the character being brought to life! Really nice pictures!!

Sometimes you should focus more on molding two shapes together more seamlessly, like in the calf on the first picture; they don’t have to be perfect circles and cylinders, they can be a literal hybrid, and cross contour around that hybrid, or find the angular edge where its more “boxy” and use that to establish which way the cross contours go.

Also, maybe pay attention to the perspective on feet.

Just some amateur advice! Keep up the great work!!
