    This is a master study I did many years ago. I always thought it was a Rembrandt, but I don’t have the reference that I made the study from. I posted this on the Discord channel too in hopes that someone recognizes it so I can compare my attempt to the original. I didn’t have to time to prepare a drawing for the first Master Monday critique yesterday, but I learned so much from Joshua’s outstanding lecture and I’m excited to participate in the next session.

    Hello Jan, I can’t help you, but you did a great job! It makes me want to pick up charcoal. Just wanted to say that. I want to do this week’s master study drawing too. 🙂 I agree, the live stream was amazing, incredibly insightful, just everything!

    Thanks so much, Kat! I’m fairly decent at copying strokes, but hopefully I can tackle this next master study with a greater understanding of the process thanks to Joshua and NMA!

    This is lovely Jan, nice volume and structure, was the original Degas?
