Day 45

At this day I did some studies from imagination, drawing heads in different points of view and also trying to remember some muscles of the head

Day 46

At this day I went to a barbecue and tried to draw some of the guests, focusing on their heads. It was really fun to draw from life.

Day 48

Another day drawing from imagination. This time I tried to create different shapes, facial expressions and angles to the heads I drew

Day 49

Today I kept studying facial expressions, focusing on smiles. This time I drew based on my last studies, using all the knowledge of the facial muscles and their respective actions to draw full heads from observation, pointing out key muscles and characteristics of the smiling face.

Day 50

Yay! I’m reaching the middle of the journey today, my 50th day of head drawing studies. Today’s been another facial expression focused day, with a bunch of drawings from observation.

This time I focused on rage and anger expressions

Today I did some surprise expression quick studies

At this I did some quick sketches from imagination, trying to give them different expressions, angles and shapes

Today I drew over my study from day 51, breaking down some of the muscles involved in suprise expressions

Day 54

At this day I did some quick sketches from imagination and observation. I’m also starting to push harder on figure drawing, starting my journey with some courses like FORCE and intro to the figure

Day 55

At this day I gave some more attention to facial expressions, focusing mainly on disgust. I still have to work on the muscle break down for these drawings

Day 56

At this day I got a new sketchbook! It’s a Fabriano 120 sheet sketchbook with spirals and a hard back cover. I couldn’t wait to try it out, so I did some quick sketches on it, trying to work on some facial expressions from imagination.

Day 57

At this day I experimented some more with my new sketchbook. I did some quick sketches of this dwarven character from imagination, developing a little of his body, armor and some facial expressions as well

Day 58

At this day I did some quick sketches on my toned sketchbook, exploring some fantasy character design and head drawing, all from imagination.

At this day I did some figure and head sketches, some from imagination (green and brown ones) and others from observation (blue ones).

Day 60

Today I did some head drawings from imagination and also spent some time watching classes and doing assignments for Sheldon Borenstein’s introduction to the figure
