I recently was brought a drawing pad and pencils for my birthday (meant as a fun present) but I’m hooked.
I was given some very basic ‘how to draw books’ but I really want to get in to the fundamentals. My research brought me here and I’m excited to give it a go.
I have started with An Introduction to Drawing Fundamentals With Sheldon Borenstein and Portrait Drawing for Beginners. I actually started the latter first, but soon realized my skills just aren’t there yet. I decided to take a step back and re-visit some fundamental aspects. I’m so glad I did, I’ve watched maybe half an hour and have already picked up stuff I never knew about. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Sheldon Borenstein also happens to be very entertaining!
