    Wow this is different  lovely shading  and tonal values  very 3D

    What medium did you use ?

    Just started portraits not easy ?

     

    But I continue to nurture my growing artist .

    Thank you. I just used a graphite pencil, like we’ve all used since grammar school. Am waiting for a charcoal and a saguine pencil to arrive which were on backorder though. Meanwhile, I wish the proportions were more correct in this drawing, but I too, am continuing to nurture my inner artist. It’s a little overwhelming to think about all there is to learn, at least I think so.

    Great re materials hard white pastel is good as it behaves similar  to charcoal also willow or vine charcoal the sticks erase  more easily the pencil not so easy sanguine great but behaves like coloured pencil  you can get white charcoal pencil but some brands are a bit hard to apply also I use harder paper medium surface and varous tonesI love light blue

    Your right it seems like loads to learn  but I adore being shown and find exploring seeing wonderful
