    i was deeply unhappy with my drawing. I went back to the reference and fixed the shape of the head, proportions, etc. Started working on core colours.

    I really like your work, especially how 3D you are able to get your figures. I don’t know much about digital painting, but it looks like you are doing well with the techniques. Keep it up!

    Hi Dean,

    I really like the digital realism you’re after here, and I think you’re doing a really good job. I find that you’re working rather observationally and did a draw-over pointing out some of the more structural things to keep in mind. Keep up the good work.

    Day 41. Thanks Bryan. Thanks Illiya. I’ll work on finding that fro plane of the face. Also I notice that the left eye is out of alignment. That’s always a miss of mine.

    Day 42. Working on form of the right cheek and the size of the left eye. I also started in on the right eye, but I think I’ve made it too small.

    Day 44. I’m quite happy with this. I can see that the right eye is low, but if I keep futzing I’m going to screw it up. I’ll look for a new subject tomorrow.
