Day 55   – Trying to make use of grey. And learn when you combine burnt sienna and ultramarine blue for brown. Thanks Rocket.

Day 57 – Back to ink drawing. But going to switch between watercolor and ink if the reference is colorful.

Day 58 – Used a NMA reference. Got the beard and hair wrong. Maybe something else too, but can’t see it for today.

Day 59 – Tried to do a fast sketch.

Day 60 – Toned paper again. Should grab another colored pencil only have a red/white pastel pencil. And getting tired of shading the hair. Maybe there is an easier to way to draw hair while crosshatching.

Day 61 – Tried using three different colors for portrait drawing. Started fine then the flower appeared. Will stick with it then next portraits. Wanted to do watercolor portraits, but I am kinda busy lately.

Day 62 – Used a NMA reference. Tried again a foreshortend face. Gotta get used to see the nose and mouth as a hill.

Day 63 – Nothing to say after so many portraits.

Day 64 – Started doing Chris Legaspi his head drawing challenge for October.

Day 65 – 5 min portraits. Almost starting to understand all the planes on the face.

Day 66 – Another 5 min portraits.

[Andrew]

Day 67 – 5 min portraits. Thinking of making a switch to 10 min portraits. So I can do some basic  shading/cross hatching too.

Day 68 – Another two days with 5 min portraits. Then I can switch to 10 min port. Getting faster with my drawings.

Day 69 – Friendship ended with 5 min portraits. Now 10 min portraits are my friend. Using a black pen bic and a black gel pen for the details.
