Days 15 and 16
.
Spent two days trying to get the colors right for this one. Now I’m kind of ok with it. Feels like it’s missing something. Maybe a bit more of contrast with the shadows or a clearer color gradation between the foreground rocks and the background road. Anyways, moving to smth else
.
The day was nice, and than it wasn’t. So I went outside and took another shot at a gray day. I gotta say the lack of contrast due to the lack of sunrise makes it really hard for me to make the composition show. I tried my best, might try again in a second layer later on. Happy with the variation in the foreground.
I really like the color on Day 15-16, and all subsequent ones. Like, the choice of color is subjective yet realistic, so it has a painter-ly feeling to it.
Day 21. 5am
.
Woke up at 3am to get my gear my bike and go find a place to paint the golden hour. Totally worth it, the light was so beautiful! Also saw several deer and hare on my way to the spot. I think I actually disturbed their free of humans roaming around hour 😑
Not particularly happy with this one. Spent about 2h on it, 1h each day. Didn’t achieve the color harmony I expected, so I’ll let it dry for now and maybe try fixing that with a new layer on top, or just recycle that into something else
Couldn’t upload it yesterday due to trying to upload two images together I think, so I’ll post the thumbnails following cause they really helped me here
