Hands and feet are notorious among artists for being some of the most challenging areas of the body to draw. In this lesson, you will learn how to think of these structures as simple boxes. Instructor Glenn Vilppu will show you ways to consider the proportions and anatomy of the skeleton to depict convincing hands and feet.

This lesson belongs to the course Intermediate Anatomy Drawing. In this 5-week course, living master draftsman Glenn Vilppu will walk you through the lessons on human anatomy and show you how to draw each body part with confidence. You will learn an approach to drawing the figure that emphasizes the anatomical forms to describe each pull, twist, and turn accurately. Not only does this course give you a better understanding of the human body, but it prepares you for more in-depth anatomical study in the future.
