Studio Painting Fundamentals (Live Class)

Join instructor Catherine Boboski for a 7-week interactive Live Class, where you will learn the essential principles and techniques of painting in a studio. She will guide you on how to select a still-life subject, arrange the composition, and take and edit photo references. Furthermore, she will demonstrate how to convey complex subjects through drawings and color studies. You will also learn how to analyze colors and pick a limited palette to produce realistic paintings. During the course, you will develop methods for starting a painting and refining it over several working sessions. You will acquire various techniques such as oiling out, using sandpaper to smooth the surface, glazing and scumbling, and building up details and focus in your painting.
