In week one, Heather Lenefsky will provide you with an overview of basic oil painting techniques. You will learn how to use a limited palette to begin a painting of an elephant.
In week two, Heather Lenefsky will continue on her demonstration of an elephant. You will learn the fundamentals of oil painting through different projects to develop your skills as a fine artist.
In week three, Heather Lenefsky will continue on her demonstration of an elephant. You will learn the concepts of hue shift, value organization, and varying brushstrokes.
In week four, Heather Lenefsky will demonstrate how to set up and begin an all prima dog portrait.
In week five, Heather Lenefsky will demonstrate how to do an underpainting of a cast. You will learn how to establish the drawing and how to block in the light and shadow masses.
In week six, Heather Lenefsky will continue with her study of the Medici bust. You will learn how to rework the painting after establishing an underpainting.
In week seven, instructor Heather Lenefsky will finish with her study of the Medici bust. You will learn how to approach the light masses of the bust.
In week eight, Heather Lenefsky will demonstrate how to paint with a limited palette an alla prima skull.
