Anatomy Master Class

In week one, Joshua will lecture on the importance of anatomy in art and demonstrate how to begin our first anatomy plate to diagram proportions. Joshua will relate the content as well as his process, tools, and techniques.

In week two, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the rear view of the proportion diagram. Joshua will lecture through the similarities and differences the front and rear views have.

In week three, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the side view of the proportion diagram. Joshua will lecture through the similarities and differences the frontal views and side views have. You will learn the techniques needed to make a diagram as accurate as possible.

In week four, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the top view of the proportion diagram. Joshua will lecture on the landmarks and measurements used to construct the top view in your stereometric model. You will learn the techniques needed to make a diagram as accurate as possible.

In week five, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the bottom view of the proportion diagram. Joshua will lecture on the landmarks and measurements used to construct the bottom view in your stereometric model. You will learn the techniques needed to make a diagram as accurate as possible.

In week six, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the process of adding notes to your stereometric model. Joshua will lecture on the process and importance of adding notes on proportion to your plates.

In week seven, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the inking process for the notes of the stereometric model. Joshua will lecture on the process and importance of adding notes on proportion to your plates.

In week eight, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the intrinsic rhythms of the body and the lines of contrast. You will learn the value of these principles and how they can having them memorized can aid in your figure drawing abilities.

In week nine, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the process of enlarging your plate. While this is an optional exercise, it will teach you the techniques and principles of enlarging a drawing. Joshua will then give you an overview of your final assignment for this Live Class.

In week ten, Joshua Jacobo will demonstrate the completion of the final mental figure template. You will see how Joshua draws the flesh onto his template and how he transfers that drawing to a final piece of paper, where he will then ink it.
