Overview of the Human Proportions

In this lesson, you will study the proportions of human figures. Instructor Glenn Vilppu will teach you a practical and realistic system for approaching the basic proportions. You will learn how to draw the figure while identifying the differences between the male and female anatomy.

This lesson belongs to the course Intermediate Anatomy Drawing. In this 5-week course, living master draftsman Glenn Vilppu will walk you through the lessons on human anatomy and show you how to draw each body part with confidence. You will learn an approach to drawing the figure that emphasizes the anatomical forms to describe each pull, twist, and turn accurately. Not only does this course give you a better understanding of the human body, but it prepares you for more in-depth anatomical study in the future. You will gain knowledge of anatomy based on gesture, form, and the dynamics of the living figure.
