In week one, George will go over the tools he uses for creating sequential art. You will watch him develop a block-in for his illustrations.
In week two, you will watch as George takes two illustrations to completion. George will teach you how to develop your paintings using layers with acrylics’ fast drying properties. He will also show you how to detail the illustrations using various techniques.
In week three, George will demonstrate how to create an illustration utilizing brayers. You will train your hand to feel what you see; from there, quickly capture the spirit of the pose.
In week four, George will teach you the materials and techniques for creating illustrations in watercolors. You will learn the traditional method of handling watercolor, working from light to dark.
In week five, you will learn how to work with watercolor using a reductive method. George will show you how he uses specially prepared paper to illustrate a figure. He will also teach you how to utilize local color and glazing to develop your paintings.

This course is appropriate for intermediate levels. Though any level will benefit greatly from the core principles of sequential art taught in this course.
