This is a 3D scan of a sculpture created by Jean-Antoine Houdon, 1741-1828. The Flayed Man, also known as L'Ecorche, was sculpted as an anatomical study for Houdon's marble sculpture of St. John the Baptist which resides in Santa Maria degli Angeli in Rome. L'Ecorche aka The Flayed Man can be found in the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. We painted each muscle to make your anatomical studies easier. The color can be disabled in the materials tab under the "color map" option.
